Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Cafe, an independent band, performs live “Do Din Ki Zindagi Hai, Do Din Ka Mela” at GIFLIF Fest. The song was also used in Scam 92: Harshad Mehta Story, the popular web series. Music has been one of the key art forms that GIFLIF has brought forward in the past 4 years. Our attempt has been to search for independent bands that create music that’s new and refreshing and not mere covers of the already popular songs (read Bollywood for India). GIFLIF’s first music concert with Neeraj Arya’s Cafe was conducted in Bhopal in 2018 and it makes us feel extremely happy to see how things have progressed for the band. In 2020, 2 of their songs “Do Din Ki Zindagi” and “Mat Kar Maaya” featured in one of India’s most popular web series Scam 92: Harshad Mehta Story, directed by Hansal Mehta. It’s equally awesome to see filmmakers/ directors now looking for independent musicians. So yes, if you are on the hunt for some good music, you are surely at the right place.
